Student Resources

The classroom experience is only one component of a comprehensive education. Students in the Department of Forensic Sciences are encouraged to participate in academic presentations, regional professional associations and internships.

The Washington, D.C., area offers unparalleled opportunities for enrichment specific to forensic science with governmental agencies, private companies and forensic science laboratories throughout the region.

We're excited to announce our brand-new student lounge exclusively for students in the Department of Forensic Sciences at George Washington University. Designed as a welcoming and versatile space, the lounge serves as a hub for socializing, networking, and collaborative study. Whether you're looking to connect with peers between classes, work on group projects, or unwind in a supportive environment, this space was created with our students in mind. The lounge will also serve as the central meeting place for the Forensic Student Guild, hosting regular meetings and social events that strengthen our vibrant academic community.

"I started my forensic career at the Armed Forces DNA Identification Laboratory because of the connections I made at GW. I am now working for the Bode Technology Group in the Human Identification Section, helping reunite missing people with their families."
